The Ministry of Justice (“the Ministry” or “Buyer”) requires a main building contractor to supply construction services for the reconfiguring of the Lower Ground and Ground floors of the Auckland High Court to provide an additional courtroom at the Auckland High Court (“the Services”). The Ministry seeks Registrations of Interest (ROI) from main building contractors with the capability and expertise to provide the required Services.
The Auckland High Court is the largest and most utilised High Court in the Justice portfolio.
In 2012 the Ministry undertook a review of the Auckland High Court Property Portfolio in response to strategic work undertaken to:
a) identify likely changes over a 20 year planning period; and
b) provide a working staged master plan for the property for the next 20 years.
Property options were developed by Warren and Mahoney and were the subject of a Detailed Concept Design report dated 8 August 2012. Following from one of the options from that report, the Ministry now seeks to be provided with an additional courtroom at the Auckland High Court by reconfiguration works.
This ROI relates to the purchase of the following services:
Construction services to reconfigure the Lower Ground and Ground floors of the Auckland High Court to provide an additional courtroom.
