The current core uniform for our Hosts has changed very little since it was designed in 1998 (when the museum first opened) and it is not adaptable to the changing seasons (fabrics are not breathable in summer and not warm enough in winter).
The Levin-based business that made our custom-made polo shirts closed business at the end of last year and our pre-made polar fleece jacket has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
Consequently Te Papa is inviting suitable suppliers to submit proposals to refresh our uniform for our Hosts.
