Te Aka Whai Ora is inviting Hauora Māori partners to submit a proposal to design, deliver, implement and evaluate their own Mātauranga Māori Solutions which contribute to Hauora Māori Outcomes from a Te Ao Māori perspective
This is an exciting opportunity to change the face of health care in Aotearoa to reflect te ao Māori and to empower and further enable Hauora Māori partners to shape and implement their own solutions.
This opportunity will result in investment in new service models, strategies, solutions and innovations grounded in te ao Māori. Evidence has confirmed that mātauranga Māori solutions led by Māori contribute to health and wellbeing, resiliency and identity of whānau Māori and the environments in which they thrive.
Te Aka Whai Ora will accept individual or collective responses from Hauora Māori partners. This may include providers, hapū / Iwi groups, Māori businesses and suppliers registered with Te Aka Whai Ora, and other Māori innovators.
Te Aka Whai Ora must be able to contract with a legal entity. Hauora Māori partners are defined as having 75% or more Māori in governance and ownership of the entity however Te Aka Whai Ora MAY consider waiving the ownership requirement where the solution has evidence that it is particularly beneficial to and impactful for Hauora Māori Outcomes
