Overview

Meridian Energy is an integrated renewable energy company; the largest electricity generator in New Zealand and an electricity retailer throughout New Zealand.
The Meridian Energy Group employs approximately 800 permanent employees and has offices in Wellington, Christchurch, Twizel and Melbourne, Australia.
Meridian generates electricity from renewable sources − wind and water in New Zealand and wind in Australia. The company supplies approximately 30% of New Zealand’s total electricity needs.

Meridian owns and operates seven hydro power stations, six within the Waitaki Hydro Scheme and the Manapouri hydro power station, and five wind farms throughout New Zealand.

Meridian is seeking registrations of interest to supply services in the two related fields of:
1. Software Integration and Programmable Logic Controller (“PLC”) development which includes:
a. Development of functional description for controls;
b. Development of sequential function charts (“SFC”);
c. Programming of PLCs in ladder logic code utilising Meridian standards and add-on-instructions;
d. Testing and integration of PLC code with Meridian’s SCADA systems;
e. System commissioning and documentation.

2. C&I cabinet build and hardware installation which includes:
a. Design and drawings;
b. Cabinet build to meet design and drawing specifications; and
c. Cabinet factory acceptance testing (“FAT”) and documentation
