What this is all about:

The Government is reforming the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme to ensure it remains fit-for-purpose to assist New Zealand meet its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and support the transition to a low emissions, climate resilient New Zealand. The Ministry for the Environment (the Ministry) and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) are seeking information about potential partners, technical options and management solutions to provide an auction function for New Zealand Emission Units.

This is an important component of New Zealand’s response to climate change and an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of New Zealanders.
