Overview

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is an open invitation to respondents to submit a Proposal to The Crown for the supply of a Class Medium Class 2 Truck Capability.

This procurement is for the supply of a minimum of 45 Class 2 trucks, Troop carrying (or personnel) pods, and full maintenance, training, and support services. This capability will replace the current aging Mercedes Benz Unimog truck fleet and will provide support to domestic Defence activities in camps and bases as well as Training and Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (HADR) activities. As such, the capability will need to meet requirements for cargo and personnel transportation across both formed and unformed roads.

The capability will be distributed across multiple camps and bases across New Zealand and so it is expected that support solutions will also be available across these regions. Respondents are to note that, subject to funding approval, future tranches are likely to purchase additional trucks and services with the successful supplier.
