The Ministry of Defence has procured four Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft for the New Zealand Defence Force. This purchase has resulted in the need for the construction of new infrastructure at RNZAF Base Ōhakea to support and operate the new capability. The project to deliver the new infrastructure is called Project Te Whare Toroa.
The works to construct the new infrastructure will be split into two separate packages, which will be procured through separate procurement processes.
The proposed works packages are as follows:
• Package 1 (Horizontal Works) comprising enabling works, civil works, and airside infrastructure works.
• Package 2 (Vertical Works) comprising the construction of all buildings.
This Notice of Information (NOI) relates to the Horizontal Works package, for which the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released in the coming weeks.
Specifically, this NOI outlines the process that Respondents shall follow to submit Confidentiality Undertakings, which will be required before Respondents can receive the Statement of Requirements for the RFP.
