Overview

The Ministry of Defence Capability Delivery Division is responsible for the procurement of major military capability for the New Zealand Defence Force through various projects and programmes approved by the Government. This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation to suitably qualified and experienced respondents to submit a Tender to provide the following services in support of the major capability projects and programmes:

(a) border clearance and customs brokerage for imports into, and exports from, New Zealand, including operation of the Ministry of Defence’s Deferred Customs Account, by a suitably qualified and trusted company;
(b) freight forwarding within New Zealand, or to, or between, any countries in the world, for routine shipments and for arranging “one-off” unique freight movements or charters;
(c) secure storage of items either before or after transporting or obtaining clearances, and associated logistics services such as loading, unloading, handling and tracking;
(d) other warehousing, logistics and handling services (potentially including packaging, labelling, inspecting, loading, unloading, fumigating, trans-shipping and otherwise handling goods); and
(e) providing advice relating to these services.
