Lincoln University, Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki (the University) is seeking to develop a new purpose-built catered student accommodation hall (the New Catered Hall or NCH). The NCH is intended to house first year students at the University and be a central heart for the University’s accommodation community. Following the completion of Phase 1, your company has been invited to submit a proposal through this Request for Proposal (RFP) process (Phase 2). This is a closed process by invitation only.
The Phase 2 RFP process will be run and coordinated by Rachel Westaway and all queries and communication should be directed through the question mechanism in GETS.The RFP document is strictly confidential to the recipient and information contained within this RFP must not be disclosed or reproduced (either in whole or part) to any other party without prior approval by the University. Parties must not make any public statements regarding this RFP, or the process referred to in this RFP, without written approval from the University.
PLEASE NOTE
Per the timeline within the Request for FPLS Tender document, we wish to hold a design briefing session during this first week of Phase 2 for the University to provide the key background of design for your information. It is proposed this session is online and to both shortlisted parties concurrently (to ensure equal information is provided to both parties). Respondents may seek clarifications during the design briefing without referencing their own respective design.
The University requires confirmation of your availability to attend a design briefing session virtually this Friday 8 August 2025 from 10am to 11.30am. If this time does not work for key attendees, please propose an alternative time before 1.30pm on Friday. If we cannot make Friday work for both parties we will look for opportunities early next week. Confirmation or alternative time proposals can be sent to procurement@lincoln.ac.nz
In addition to this design briefing session, the University has increased the number of design focused Respondent Workshops (from one to two) and added a third Respondent Workshop focused on Contract and Programme. Further information and rules in relation to these three workshops will be provided at a later date. Indicative dates have been provided in the invitation letter.
