The opportunity:
Lincoln University is currently undertaking a major campus development project in order to continue providing world-class land-based education and research. As part of this project, we are in the final stages of building a completely new teaching and research building. This building will be approximately 9,450m2 and will comprise research laboratories, teaching laboratories, flat floor teaching spaces, staff office areas & public spaces / café. The building will provide facilities for up to 240 staff/post-graduate researchers and up to 330 undergraduate students. The project is due to be completed in July 2023.
What we need:
We will be looking for a supplier that is able to provide quality, long-lasting furniture and a delivery and assembly service. ‘Fixed’ furniture such as laboratory benching will be provided and installed by the building contractor, but we will be looking for a separate supplier to provide all the ‘loose’ furniture.
What is important to us?
It is vital to us that a supplier can provide all our furniture requirements for this project in line with our project timeline so as not to delay the completion of the building. We will be looking for a supplier to partner with our project and design team in order to finalise the requirements.
In order to meet our sustainability goals, our preference is to work with a supplier that manufactures at least some of their products in New Zealand. We would expect the successful supplier to have a strong presence in New Zealand in order to properly support our project requirements.

We intend to undertake a 2-stage procurement process for this project, with the initial Expression Of Interest being published on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in late-July/early-August 2022.
