Overview

The concept of the Lincoln Hub (the Hub) has been developed in partnership between Lincoln University, DairyNZ and the Crown Research Institutes (CRI) of AgResearch, Plant & Food Research and Landcare Research, together with industry.

The Hub is a collaboration between industry, research and education that will transform the productivity and performance of New Zealand’s primary sector and enhance sustainability outcomes. The Hub, with industry at its heart, will be a driving force to enable the Government’s export Business Growth Agenda.
A team is currently completing the preparation of an updated campus master plan, including schedules of accommodation and a new bulk and location plan, to help inform the Business Case for Stage 1 of the Hub works. The details are therefore incomplete, but the project will provide the following:
• New buildings comprising of research laboratories, teaching laboratories, education space and office space, sufficient to house approximately 900 staff (excluding undergraduates).
• Approximately 30,000sqm spread across several new buildings.
• Approximate total construction cost of $130 million - $150 million.
• Construction sequence likely to start in Q2, 2016.
• Design work is likely to start in July/August 2015.
The Lincoln Hub Board, Lincoln University are seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) for design consultancy and project management services.
