In the context of this procurement activity Toitū Te Whenua’s purpose is extended to include whānau as it is the whānau that do the activity: caring. With caring being an important aspect of our purpose, the outcomes sought via this procurement activity should demonstrate that Toitū Te Whenua cares about the individual cleaners (wellbeing and development) that carry out the day-to-day work, that we care about using this opportunity to develop suppliers, that we care about smaller regionally focused businesses or Māori and Pasifika businesses and that we care about the environmental impact of these services being delivered to us.
