The LINZ Data Service (LDS) is an award winning service established in 2011 to publish mainly spatial data in order to unlock benefits from its wide reuse. LINZ is seeking registrations from suppliers with pre-existing web publishing services capable of publishing spatial formats, with the intention of selecting two suppliers to provide proposals in a closed RFP. This will be a Syndicated Contract meaning LINZ will establish a contract with the successful respondent that other New Zealand Government agencies can access, removing some of the barriers to establishing their own LDS type data service.
This Syndicated Contract opportunity is for publishing mainly spatial data with associated tables. Data preparation services and publishing solely tabular datasets or databases are out of scope of this procurement.
