Overview
Kaipara District Council is located in Te Taitokerau, Northland. We are a relatively small Council, with roughly 25,000 residents spanning both the east and west coasts. We have many rural and coastal communities. We are also the fastest growing region in Te Taitokerau Northland. Some areas of our district have experienced over 30% increase in population within the last 10 years. Te Roroa and Te Uri o Hau are our Mana Whenua partners whose rohe overlap with Kaipara District.
A report needs to prepared for the District Plan Review which addresses Kaipara District’s rural zoning and provides suitable information that can support Council’s section 32 RMA evaluation.
