Inland Revenue is moving to a new office location in Nelson due to the expiry of its old lease. This is a new build and will require an office fit out once the base build has been completed.
Coman Construction Limited has been awarded this contract in accordance with the exemption under NZ Procurement Rule 14.9c.i. Only one supplier due to technical reasons - where a construction company has already been contracted to do the base build of a building and there would be no real competition in bidding for the fit-out due to the efficiencies gained from being established on site.
