Overview

This Contract is for the general requirements that apply to the maintenance of Council’s pavement and footpaths including amenity and street cleaning, bus shelter maintenance, traffic and street signage, road marking, vegetation control, renewal of footpaths, kerb and channel renewals, unsealed road maintenance and streetlighting.

ICC reserve the right to negotiate with the Contractor for the inclusion of other services should they be mutually agreeable. Council budgets are subject to Annual Planning and Long Term plan approval processes and will be subject to confirmation for each year of the contract. The contractor by having tendered acknowledges that this variability could occur.

This contract is based on a NZS3917 document; overlayed with a collaborative framework to instill positive relationships and behaviors from both the Principal and Contractor.

The Collaborative framework is at the core of ICC’s aspirations for this contract. It should be read, carefully considered and allowed for in the preparation of your tender submission.

Details of the collaborative framework and how it will be applied are included in the Collaborative Framework Document which forms part of the Tender Documentation.

The contract does not currently include the pavement surfacing reseal contract. There is potential that this may be added by negotiation in the future should circumstances arise where performance and value for money can be demonstrated, and once any current reseal term contract expires.
