IAWAI have embarked on a journey to transform our infrastructure delivery approach to provide better, more sustainable outcomes for our customers.

As part of this an efficient and streamlined three waters construction renewals programme of works has been established across both the Waikato District and Hamilton City areas. This package of work amounts to $400 - $500 million over the next 10 years. The delivery model for the construction works is that selected Contractors will deliver three waters construction renewals work via multi-year programmes.

A procurement process for the Three Waters Renewals Contract for construction services for IAWAI is currently underway. Contracts are anticipated to be awarded in June 2026 with an initial term of 5 years, with the ability to be extended at IAWAI’s discretion.

In accordance with the expected contract form for Three Waters Renewals, NZS 3917:2025, the Principal is required to appoint an Independent Certifier (IC) for the duration of the contract. Accordingly, IAWAI is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to be appointed as the IC for a term of five years.

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is a closed, invitation-only tender process. Suitably qualified and experienced professional service providers are invited to submit a proposal to provide IC services to support IAWAI’s Three Waters Network Renewals Construction Services programme of works. Respondents must have the required experience, accreditation, and capacity to commit fully to the role, be based in the Waikato region, and have the ability to maintain ongoing availability throughout the contract term.
