Hutt Valley District Health Board Procedure Suite
To increase surgical throughput at Hutt Valley DHB (HVDHB) and reduce pressure on limited existing operating theatre space, an Level 2 area of the hospital is to be repurposed to form a five-room procedure suite. Design and structural engineering for this project has been completed, and this Request for Tender (RFT) seeks a construction contractor to complete the re-fit of this area. The budget that has been approved for this contract is capped at $3.016M, which has been approved by the Ministry of Health.
It is expected that a single main contractor will deliver the works covered in this procurement; however, the associated works are likely to be delivered by other local contractors under subcontract to the head contractor.
The works will include:
• Demolition, including asbestos management
• Structural framing
• Plumbing and electrical fit-out
• HVAC
• Finishing

Hutt Valley DHB reserves the right to provide supplementary information to all invited Respondents should a confidential question highlight a point requiring clarification to other Tenderers.
