Breast Cancer Research in New Zealand

The Health Research Council of New Zealand, Breast Cancer Cure, and The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation previously established the Breast Cancer Research in New Zealand initiative to fund innovative research into breast cancer in New Zealand.

The funding partners are pleased to announce a second round of funding through this partnership. The funding partners are seeking high quality, innovative research that will look to identify potential targeted therapies for breast cancer with a focus on: targeted treatments, aspects of early detection, prognostic and predictive diagnoses, or preventative therapies.

A total funding pool of approximately $400,000 (exclusive of GST) is available for allocation. The funding partners invite applications for funding of up to $200,000 (fully-costed, exclusive of GST) and duration of up to 24 months.

Applications to this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be submitted via a one-stage process. Applicants are required to submit a Registration via the HRC’s online application portal (HRC Gateway). Registration are due 12pm, Thursday, 20 November 2014. The full application form will need to be submitted via HRC Gateway by 12pm, Thursday, 11 December 2014.
