The HRC and Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand (BCFNZ) have formed a partnership to fund research that leverages the BCFNZ’s investment in breast cancer registers. It's anticipated that the registers will support a broad range of research, including epidemiology, health services and clinical research.
We are seeking research that uses data from the BCFNZ-funded breast cancer patient register, with the aim of further improving delivery of care for better outcomes of the disease in New Zealand.
The total budget for this research initiative is $400,000 and the funding available per proposal is up to a maximum of $200,000 over 24 months (fully-costed, exclusive of GST).
We anticipate that projects will begin as soon as practicable, with funding available for an immediate start (from October 2019). Research proposals should realistically be able to be completed within a 24-month time frame.
