Breast Cancer Register 2017 RFP

The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) and The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF) previously formed a joint research initiative to fund research that leverages the NZBCF’s investment in New Zealand’s breast cancer registers.

Through a Request for Proposals (RFP), the funding partners are seeking high-quality research that will use data from the New Zealand breast cancer registers (which are in the process of being consolidated into a single national register), with the aim of delivering a positive health outcome for women with breast cancer in New Zealand.

Applications to this RFP will be submitted via a one-stage process. Applicants are firstly required to submit a Registration via the HRC’s online portal HRC Gateway. Registrations are due 1pm, Thursday 3 November 2016. The full application will need to be submitted via the HRC Gateway by 1pm, Thursday 1 December 2016.

A total funding pool of $400,000 (exclusive of GST) is available for allocation. The funding partners invite applications for funding of up to $200,000 (exclusive of GST) and a duration of up to 24 months.
