Overview

Hutt City Council invites responses for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and handover of a grid-tied 250kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system, including inverters, mounting structures, a performance monitoring platform and all associated electrical works.

The primary objective of this procurement is to reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and support climate change mitigation and HCC’s sustainability objectives. The project is also expected to contribute to improved environmental performance and strengthen confidence among key stakeholders, including staff and the local community. HCC does not currently provide these goods and services internally.

The practical outcomes we would like to achieve are:
- Reduced reliance on grid electricity consumption through increased on-site generation
- Lower operating costs
- Improved energy resilience
