Hutt City Council are procuring a contractor to design and replace safety surfaces at the existing playground at Motutawa Avalon Park.

The key objective of this procurement is to select a contractor to deliver the project using a full-service approach (design and construct) - including design, consenting support, removal of existing surfaces, construction and ongoing support. This includes the full design, supply of all labour, materials and plant for all works, and management of subcontractors.

Safety surfaces at the playground are currently made up of rubber pour, certified wood chip and sand. Many of the safety surfaces are reaching the end of their useful life expectancies.
