Hutt City Council (HCC) is looking to deliver a new Naenae Pool and Fitness Centre in the community of Naenae, to replace the 65-year-old Naenae Olympic Pool. This new facility needs to
meet the needs of the community and wider city now and into the future and is to be developed consistently with the Naenae Town Centre Spatial Plan.
HCC wishes to partner with a Contractor to undertake the following works under a single Contract:
• Notification and removal of all asbestos containing materials within the existing structures and the site.
• Demolition of the existing community hall and pool buildings, including salvage of selected items and materials for reuse.
• Removal of decommissioned inground services.
• Infill of any excavated areas with compacted clean fill.
It is anticipated the works would commence in August 2021.
