Maintenance Resealing, Hutt City Council - AD16-4339

This Contract is for Maintenance Resealing on road carriageways in Lower Hutt City. The Contract is a hybrid chipsealing contract that incorporates elements of TNZ P/04 and NZTA P17.

The Contract is for an initial period from the Date of Acceptance of Tender or 1 July 2018 whichever is later, terminating on 30 June 2021 with the option of two 12-month renewals on completion of the initial period until 30 June 2022 and 30 June 2023 respectively at the sole discretion of the Principal.

Works to be carried out under this Contract includes, preseal repairs, chipsealing, thin asphaltic surfacing, high friction surfacing, roadmarking reinstatement and any maintenance works notified by the end of the Defects Notification Period. The maximum area of asphalting at each site is not expected to exceed 400 m2

Services include traffic management, public notification and relations, provision of regular progress reports, chip seal spray rate design, identifying and raising service covers and previously sealed over service covers, reinstating roadmarking and recording as-built/RAMM data of the completed work.
Works planned (to be confirmed) for 2018/19 includes approximately:
• Resurfacing 52,000 m2
• Second coat seal 40,000 m2
• Water cutting 1,200 m2

Tenders will be evaluated using a modified Price Quality method.
