The Brookfields Lower Stopbank Level of Service Upgrade requires a comprehensive upgrade to meet the new level of service which will provide increased resilience to the surrounding Te Awa community and industry in Awatoto from the risks associated with flooding. These measures are essential to ensure the ongoing safety, sustainability, and resilience of the community in the face of potential flood events. The Council intends to construct the flood protection for these works via a construction contract arrangement. The successful contractor will be governed by a NZS3910:2023 - Conditions of contract for building and civil engineering – Construction.
