HBDHB is seeking proposals from appropriately qualified engineering consultants to carry out Detailed Seismic Assessments (DSA’s) of the following buildings at the Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Hastings:
• HA 21 West Wing Physiotherapy – Estimated at 937m2
• HA 28 Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) – Estimated at 588m2
• HA 30 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Estimated at 861m2
HBDHB requires the seismic performance of the above buildings to be rated, based on current guidelines and to better understand what elements, if any, would require upgrading for the buildings to achieve at least 67% New Building Standard (NBS) and for non-structural elements to comply with current codes.
• HA 21 was built c1965 and is designated Importance Level 2 (IL2)
• HA 28 was built c1984 and is designated Importance Level 4 (IL4)
• HA30 was built c1986 and is designated Importance Level 4 (IL4)
