Hawkes Bay District Health Board is calling for registrations of interest from suitably experienced duct cleaning, decontamination and restoration contractors for works that are to be undertaken as part of ongoing maintenance projects over the next financial year.
Contractors will be expected to have extensive experience in the cleaning, decontamination and restoration of ducting and to deliver a high standard of workmanship within specified timeframes. A demonstrated ability to undertake works in a hospital environment whilst minimising disruption to operations and business critical plant is required.
An opportunity for site visits will be arranged for shortlisted tenderers to review the work environment and ducting characteristics.
The extent of the works required for the project would typically comprise the cleaning, decontamination and restoration of ducts in various areas of the hospital and includes, but is not limited to the following:
Planning, programming and managing the execution of the work
Clear communication with project manager of areas of work being completed and any deviation to programme
Creating access to ducting where required
Assessment of existing ducting, including reporting of current condition and access points (where created)
Removal and replacement of significantly damaged, corroded and/or degraded ducting
Procurement of all parts, fittings and materials as required
Timely preparation and submission of all reporting information (including before/after photographs and reference points to specific sections of ducting)
Reporting is to include recommendations for the ongoing maintenance (cleaning, decontamination and restoration) of ducts serviced during the contract
