The project works include the replacement of the existing steel “manifold” pipeline. The manifold comprises a short 18m section of 1500mm diameter pipe connected to 3 No. x 700mm diameter pumping lines, which reduces to approximately 35m of DN1100mm diameter steel outfall within the WWTP.
The scope of work includes:
 Preliminary and General works, including health & safety, quality and environmental management, methodology, sequencing of works and as-builts.
 Communication, liaison and coordination with key stakeholders (e.g. WWTP operations, HDC, Engineer and any other relevant third parties).
 Pre-construction activities and site investigations.
 Complete supply and installation of approximately 50 m of 1100-1500mm of manifold outfall pipeline, (material to be determined) predominantly via open cut construction including:
 Connections to existing WWTP pump station and downstream concrete 1150mm diameter outfall pipeline
 Air valves
 Isolation valves
 Reinstatement of surge protection system
 All associated fittings, pipe specials and thrust restraint
 Design and implementation of all Temporary Works, including the provision of a temporary flow diversion suitable for pumped flows of between 500-2000l/s, protection of existing structures and services, trench shoring and dewatering.
 Inspection, testing and commissioning of the works.
 Reinstatement, including road pavement, berms, kerb and channel and planting.
