Overview

Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Cloud FinOps Cost Management Solution to increase visibility, tracking and control of the costs of public and private cloud services delivered to and/or consumed by the Northern Region District Health Boards and health|Alliance..

healthAlliance is an ICT related shared services organisation where a rapidly growing volume of public and private IasS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services are being consumed on a daily basis and we are continuously looking for opportunities to minimise the costs of cloud services for the DHBs. Invoices from cloud services providers are typically very complex. They are currently processed manually, which is time-consuming and error-prone, and will not scale as cloud services spend continues to grow. We need to improve visibility and understanding of the detail of cloud spend in order to manage and optimise that spend, so we don’t end up paying for services that are inappropriately sized or timed, or no longer required.

A Cloud FinOps Solution should help reduce the work effort expended performing manual and repetitive cloud billing and DHB recharging tasks, thereby refocusing work effort from process driven to value add activities.
