Northland District Health Board is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of an in-house cafe service at the Whangarei Hospital. The current café is located in a prime location on the ground floor of the Whangarei Hospital, adjacent to the front of house reception administration area. Operational hours required here are seven days per week. There is also a coffee pod service which is located in one of the campus buildings, Tohora House. Operating requirements of the coffee pod is five days a week. The current lease is due to expire in February 2021.
The operator must have a commitment to excellence in providing fresh, tasty food and beverages, and to delivering their services in an environment of partnership and promoting healthcare.
The cafe is highly valued by staff, patients and whanau. The cafe establishment is considered a necessary onsite requisite for both public and staff complementing Northland DHB’s wellbeing values.
