Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) proposals for sustainable low impact grazing management of Belmont Regional Park, between 2026-2030. Belmont Regional Park is 3500ha and spans the steep hills and valleys between Porirua and the Hutt Valley, encompassing key freshwater catchments and significant cultural sites.

The focus of Belmont Regional Park has changed from farming to restoring natural ecosystems and improving recreation opportunities. Greater Wellington is looking for a grazier we can work with as the available grazing area is reduced over time.

Proposals must reflect the values and principles of the management plan for regional parks, Toitū Te Whenua 2020-2030.
