Overview

Greater Wellington Regional Council (Greater Wellington) is currently developing a poplar and willow pole nursery in Carterton, Wairarapa. Along with its sister nursery Akura in Masterton, the Te Uru o Tāne Nursery (formerly known as Daleton Nursery) will allow us to increase production of poplar and willow poles for erosion control purposes throughout the Wellington region.

To support operations at Te Uru o Tāne, we require the ongoing services of a contractor who will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality pole production and harvest activities as well as other general nursery tasks.

This will be a great opportunity to be part of a leading-edge, environmentally and socially focused supply network, working with Greater Wellington to grow, produce and deliver a quality product (poplar & willow poles) to our customers, locally, regionally and beyond.

Please subscribe to this notice and download the Request for Proposal (RFP) document pack for more information, including about our supplier briefing/drop in session later in October.
