ADVANCED NOTICE OF FUTURE CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) intends to release a Request for Applications (RfA) for its Biosecurity Pest Control Services Panel. This release is a reopening of the existing panel that was established in June 2021 due to the identification of additional services required by GWRC and to also enable new suppliers to apply for the Panel.

Current suppliers to the Panel will not be affected by this RfA process unless they wish to apply to provide additional services to GWRC through the service categories on this panel.

The type of services requires skilled operators and specialist equipment. Suppliers are required to be able to provide at least one of the following services:

Current Services

Bait station servicing and installation, trap checking and marking and recording of information

Pindone carrot for rabbit control

Ungulate hunting/shooting

Pest plant control works

Regional Pest Management Plan (RPMP) pest plant surveying

Pest Eradication via installation, servicing and maintenance of pest control devices within the Predator Free Wellington (PFW) framework

Specialised pest plant training

Night Shooting

Performance based possum control
