Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) is looking to provide the opportunity for Beekeepers to have a beekeeping license which will provide the holder with the right to access Greater Wellington land and use parts of the land for the purpose of siting and stocking beehives and the collection of bee products from those beehives and/or feeding bees over the winter period.
We are looking for reputable Beekeepers to site their hives on our land while ensuring that sustainable and environmental practices are a normal part of the way they do business.
In return, GWRC will receive payment from the Beekeepers, for the collection of manuka honey and for feeding Beekeeper’s bees.
