Metlink being part of Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) gives notice of its intention to issue, a request for proposal (RFP) from suitably qualified providers for the Construction and Installation of Metlink shelters across its bus, rail & ferry network including related minor works.
The objective is to bring all requirements for shelter works into one all-encompassing contract across the Metlink Assets & Infrastructure Group to achieve ongoing improvement of the level of service to our customers across the wider public transport network.
GWRC’s intention is to appoint a suitably qualified provider for:
1. Construction & Installation of Metlink bus shelters (new & renewal)
2. Construction, Engineering & Installation of Metlink rail platform shelters, including cycle parking shelters & wind panels.
3. Carrying out civil works relating to shelter installations and other public transport improvements (foundation pads, concrete pads at bus stops etc.) as well as the supply of other platform infrastructure.
4. Design expertise relating to bespoke shelter designs & enhancements including product innovation and flexibility.
GWRC seek a suitably qualified provider that has the required expertise for the delivery of the above works whilst having a strong understanding of GWRC & Metlink’s importance throughout the region and the role we play to deliver public transport to thousands of customers daily.
The RFP is expected to be released around early September 2021.
