Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) gives notice of its intention to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) from suitably qualified providers who can work with us to supply furniture solutions across our offices or sites throughout the greater Wellington region.

GWRC would like to also seek confirmation from potential Respondent their interest and ability to respond to this tender and provide the service post lockdown.

The objective is to engage a longer term provider or providers to help us develop a standard catalogue of furniture items for GWRC. Over time this will support the GWRC have a consistent look and feel and maximise the use of our physical assets.

GWRC’s desired outcome consists of furniture solutions:
1. That are functional for the type of work we do at GWRC with the ability to be customised to the GWRC colour pallet
2. Are quality products with long warranty periods
3. Where practical are manufactured in an environmental sustainable manner, with sustainable materials
4. That are provided by a reputable provider(s)
5. Delivery lead time that aligns to the project deliverables

The contract is for an initial five year term, with two rights of renewals of one year each.
GWRC is seeking a vendor partner, or partners that has experience ideally in both manufacturing and supply, have the internal infrastructure and ability to meet GWRC’s project driven timeframes (where constraints exist), have reputable after-sales service and warranty claim processes, and the network to service offices across the greater Wellington region.

The RFP is due to be released early May 2020.
