Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) gives notice of its intention to issue, a request for proposal (RFP) from suitably qualified providers who want to undertake seasonal field work around the Wairarapa region under a master services agreement for a three year period. The statements of work associated with the master agreement will be signed annually.
Land Management a department of GWRC’s prime objectives is to deliver a service to both Greater Wellington itself and farms around the region to maintain and prevent erosion.
This is seasonal work is on an annual basis but only during certain times of the year involves, preparing the soil before any planting can commence and the planting out of poles and seedlings, ongoing pruning and pre and post spraying that is required to grow these trees around Wairarapa region. The poles and seedlings are provided by Akura Nursery in Masterton.
