GNS Science in conjunction with the University of California are planning a large scale seismic experiment traversing the Raukumara peninsula in early 2019 as part of an international project to understand the earthquake behaviour in this region. Central to this experiment will be the drilling of five boreholes to host explosives (these will be detonated later as part of the experiment). The results of the experiment will be recorded on an array of seismometers deployed coast to coast. Drilling of the boreholes must be completed before 20th December 2018.

GNS Science is looking for credible provider(s) who have the capability, experience and infrastructure to deliver drilling services to support seismic testing. Respondents must have a good track record in providing drilling services along with a strong commitment to health and safety and environmental considerations.
