Overview

What we need
The Intelligence Community Shared Services (ICSS) on behalf of Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) – hereinafter referred to as “the Buyer” - is looking for an experienced supplier to provide cleaning services at our Thorndon site. This ROI process is intended to identify and shortlist suppliers capable of responding to an in-depth Request for Proposal or Request for Tender process.

What we don’t want
We do not want a supplier that requires all cleaning products to be purchased through them as we purchase the majority of our cleaning supplies through the AoG Office Supplies contract.

What’s important to us
The Buyer is looking for a professional cleaning services supplier that will provide the necessary experience and technical expertise. It is important to us that the contracted personnel can obtain and maintain a high-level security clearance, and comply with all relevant site policies and procedures.

Why should you bid?
This is the first opportunity since 2013 to develop a working relationship with the Buyer for these services. We are committed to establishing a collaborative and mutually rewarding relationship with the successful supplier.

A bit about us
The Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) ensures the integrity and confidentiality of government information, and investigates and analyses cyber incidents against New Zealand’s critical infrastructure. The mission of the GCSB is to inform and enhance the decision making processes of the New Zealand Government in the areas of information assurance, national security, foreign policy, and support by law enforcement by:
- Ensuring the integrity, availability and confidentiality of official information through the provision of information assurance services to Government;
- Improving the protection of national critical infrastructure from cyber threats;
- Providing foreign intelligence to support and inform Government decision making; and
- Providing an all hours intelligence watch and warn service to Government.

The Intelligence Community Shared Services (ICSS) provides strategic leadership in the provision of corporate support to GCSB and NZSIS. The vision of ICSS is “supporting and enabling the New Zealand Intelligence Community’s shared outcomes through the provision of timely and trusted corporate advice and specialist services”.

ICSS on behalf of GCSB is releasing this RFP.
