This Request for Tender (RFT) is for the procurement of the main contractor for the required design and physical works at Britomart Station to upgrade the existing Gas Suppression System. The key outcomes that we want to achieve are upgrading by modification part of the existing gas suppression system within the Britomart Transport Centre to reduce H&S risks and improve system effectiveness and ongoing maintenance.

The scope of this project is to decommission the existing gas suppression systems within 6 of the B1 east end back of house (BOH) rooms and within 3 rooms located in the Tangihua vent building. Then to install new Inergen gaseous suppression system (IG-55)-300 within 5 of the rooms in B1 east and within 3 of the rooms in Tangihua Vent Building. There is also a requirement to install pneumatic automatic fire suppression systems (PAFSS) within certain electrical panels located in rooms B1.504 and B1.507 (area S2).

Our timeframes are to begin physical works in January 2024.
