New Zealand Institute of Public Health and Forensic Science (PHF Science) is a Public Research Organisation (PRO) specialising in science for communities. PHF Science are looking for a new laboratory information system (LIS) for our Health Security laboratories. We are looking for a system that not only supports our diverse laboratories, but is able to flex and incorporate sample tracking for clinical, non-clinical, research and reference laboratories for both health and environment samples.  

A new LIS for PHF Science must provide modern capabilities critical for a leading science organisation, including but not limited to:
Automation
Sample registration and tracking
Workflow management
Flexible reporting
System stability
Data integrity
Seamless interoperability and/or integration

We require some configuration that will meet our needs without requiring heavy customisation. This is to ensure long-term sustainability and avoid the risk of implementing a system that will reach end-of-life prematurely due to excessive tailoring.

Further Award Information:
PHF Science required a new LIS replacement system for the Health Security Team. We asked for a SaaS, browser-based LIS that is supplier-hosted in near-shore or on-shore data centres, supported by NZ/Australia-based teams. The system should enable our local LIS team to manage day-to-day configuration and support, whilst the supplier maintains and develops the core product. 

We have engaged with a supplier to enter into discovery phase.
