The Natural Hazards Commission (NHC) intends to appoint external investment managers to manage assets of the Natural Hazards Fund, as part of the implementation of NHC’s Statement of Investment Policy and Objectives. The Fund will be managed in accordance with an investment strategy focused on long term sustainability, liquidity, and value for money, with day to day investment management outsourced to suitably qualified and experienced managers.

Subject to approvals, NHC expects to:
• Release an open Registration of Interest (ROI) on GETS: March 2026
• Invite shortlisted suppliers to a Request for Proposals (RFP): April 2026
• Have contracts in place and commence investment management services: 1 July 2026
