The Earthquake Commission (‘EQC’) wishes to further develop its relationships with its existing suppliers of natural disaster claims handling services (commonly referred to as ‘Third Party Claims Administrators’ or ‘TPAs’) and build upon their knowledge and experience.

Under EQC’s future claims handling operating model, there is a real need for TPAs to provide critical contingency support to EQC, and to handle some claims that will not be managed by EQC’s in-house claims teams or industry partners, including the continuation of services delivered by TPA ‘seconded staff’.
