As part of delivering our statutory functions, EQC has a requirement for suitably qualified and experienced consultants who specialise in Geotechnical Services. These Consultants will provide advice and services as members of the Geotechnical Panel (“the Panel”) to various areas within EQC which include Event Response and Management, Claims, Legal, and Resilience.

EQC is planning to appoint a small panel of preferred suppliers of Geotechnical Services, to respond to baseline events and Major Events, and to provide Geotechnical Services and associated co-ordination activities. Respondents interested in being considered for the Panel must submit a proposal demonstrating they have the personnel and resources to provide the following services:
• Land damage assessment including liquefaction, slope stability assessment and land hazard mitigation advice
• Communications support associated with the geotechnical aspects of the above
• Input into land hazard policy advice including associated research
• Legal support and expert witness services if required
• Emergency response management including coordination/management of all subcontractors
• Input into related training, lessons learnt and event response documentation
• Participation in event readiness planning
EQC is looking for suppliers of Geotechnical Services with experience and/or understanding of natural disaster response, and who can demonstrate that they can add value to the claims, reconstruction and contingency planning processes.
