Overview
EECA is inviting registrations of interest (ROI) for potential biomass supply chain projects in the South Island, with a focus on the processing and collection of biomass raw materials.
The ROI will consider processes and technologies that increase forestry residue collection, and projects that process raw material to boiler-ready fuel.
If successful in the ROI phase, applicants will be asked to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) whereby co-funding will be made available to help increase large-scale use of biomass for process heating by businesses in the South Island.
