The General Election is one of New Zealand's largest public events and relies on highly capable and experienced suppliers to support the Electoral Commission in delivering this increasingly complex and logistically challenging event.
The Electoral Commission wishes to engage a suitably experienced and capable Supplier to provide trusted email and SMS campaign capabilities for the lead-up to 2026 General Election. The objective is to have a single Supplier for both services so that workflow and intelligence between the channels can be leveraged to reach the best possible audience. The Supplier will be contracted for one year with the intention of going to a future RFP for wider digital communications guided by a modernisation strategy.
We will be holding an open supplier briefing session via Teams at 11am on 30 September 2025. Please email tenders@elections.govt.nz to register for this event. Registrations close 15 minutes prior to the start of the briefing session.

After the open Request for Quote process, the Electoral Commission, of 34-42 Manners Street, Wellington is pleased to announce that Cumulo9 Limited, NZBN 9429036426966 of 191 Queen Street, Auckland has been awarded the contract to provide trusted and secure email and SMS communication capabilities for the Commission. The agreement was signed 17 December 2025 for a term of 12 months.
The lowest price evaluated was $109,259.00 and the highest offer was $1,015,968.00.
