The Board of the Electricity Authority invites proposals from experienced providers to design and deliver a transformative Organisational Design Review of the Authority.
This is a Board-led initiative to ensure the Electricity Authority is a future-fit, high-impact regulator and to strengthen the Electricity Authority’s performance, efficiency, and regulatory excellence, taking into account the Government’s response to the Frontier Review of Electricity Market Performance.
We seek an independent provider (or consortium) capable of co-designing the Electricity Authority’s future operating and governance model. One that:
•	Prioritises and delivers meaningful consumer outcomes
•	Embraces innovation, agility and, transparency
•	Leverages technology and data, automation and AI-driven insights for smarter, faster regulatory decision-making
•	Prioritises consumer trust and impact in regulatory outcomes
•	Embeds innovative and inclusive stakeholder engagement practices.
This is a rare opportunity for genuine transformation, to consider how the Electricity Authority could more effectively deliver its functions, engage with stakeholders, and partner with the wider energy sector to create meaningful change for consumers. The Board will set the ambition, identify review objectives, and approve final recommendations in partnership with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team.
Together we aim to shape a regulator that is strategically bold, operationally sharp, and equipped for the future electricity sector.
