Overview

The Three Waters National Transition Unit (NTU), within Tari Taiwhenua Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), is responsible for the establishment of, and transition to, a new service delivery model. Its role is to ensure,that, on 1 July 2024, four new water service entities are ready to assume responsibility for Three Waters-related infrastructure and service delivery.

The purpose of this notice is to provide advance notification to the market that DIA intends to release a Registration of Interest (ROI) for establishing a panel of AMOS (Asset Management, Operations, Stormwater) Professional and Contracting Service providers, who will assist the NTU and Local Transition Teams (LTT) with their service demands.

The key objectives in establishing a panel are:
a. assist the AMOS NTU team in the delivery of the AMOS work programme.
b. assist LTT's in the delivery of AMOS transition activities at an entity level. This includes the backfill of Council functions to enable the participation of Council staff in transition.
