This emergency procurement was to engage a secondary IT hardware supplier who could quickly supply considerable numbers of additional IT hardware peripherals.

The COVID-19 global pandemic significantly affected the global supply chain of IT hardware and DIA needed to be able to continue to operate under Alert Level 4 and 3 lock-down for an extended period. To do this, a significant proportion of the organisation required additional IT Hardware peripherals to effectively work from home.
